Pumping on an interval set by measured depths, an annual effluent filter clean, and a yearly look at baffles, the distribution box and the field surface. Aerobic units add blower and disinfection checks.

They do not remove sludge, which is the thing that makes pumping necessary. Some products emulsify solids so they carry out to the field, which is the one outcome you are trying to avoid. Pumping is the only thing that empties a tank.
Wipes of any kind including those labelled flushable, fats and cooking oil, coffee grounds, cat litter, paint, solvents and anything antibacterial in quantity. Garburators roughly double solids accumulation.
